UN To Release Report on High Usage of Renewable Energies

A report by the UN, expected to be released on Sunday 20th April, during a press conference in Berlin, is expected to say that dramatic change is needed over energy use.

The UN report will say that the World must make a concerted effort to use and invest in renewable energies, including wind and solar power, by as much as triple the current amount!

Dangerously high temperature increases could result by 2030 unless serious action is taken, which could see global warming temperatures increase by more than 2o.

The report, that will be presented to Governments from all over the globe, is also expected to say that the world must look at reversing its carbon emission, but the only effective way to do this is to make a “massive shift” in the way renewable energies are used.

The British Government's Climate Change Secretary, Ed Davey, said other countries must endeavour to follow the UK's "ambitious" lead.

Currently, coal and fossil fuels dominate the energy market, and the UN are expected to criticise the over use by emerging markets, citing that technology and equipment already exists for the use of cleaner energies.
